About Our Team
Our CWGI team is made up of many dedicated women who love the game and the league. Many of our co-ordinators are long-time members. Some are more recent members. But in all cases, they enjoy meeting and playing. They are a large part of our league’s success. Our CWGI co-ordinators are key.
As a departure from the traditional bio, we thought it would be fun to ask each of our co-ordininators the following question: “If you could golf any course in the world what would it be?

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting and/or your interest in joining Canadian Women Golfers Inc. It is indeed a privilege, and a dream of mine, to work at something that brings me such passion and energizes me every day. Golf has always been in my blood, thanks to my father who taught me this game at an early age while playing many hours at the Mississippi Golf Course. I’m entrepreneurial by nature so the opportunity to run CWGI is the best of the best for me at this stage in my life.
“If I could golf any course in the world? It’s a tough call. I would choose Augusta National Golf Course or Pebble Beach. Both are iconic courses with a rich history of golf and each absolutely beautiful and unique”.

“I can’t think of any place in the world where I would play golf other than in the Outaouais Region with my CWGI golf friends playing a game of ‘Drive for Five’.”

“Augusta National, because it’s where the greatest tournament in the world is held, and to see if I can cross Rae’s Creek, shortest par 3 at 155 yards. I’d have to play from the same tees as my requested playing partners: Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Tony Finau.”

“I would love to golf Cape Kidnappers in Hawke’s Bay New Zealand. The course has stunning views of rugged cliffs leading into the Pacific Ocean. Of course I will need a caddy and let’s face it the Kiwi accent is incredibly fun, which only adds to the experience. Also unlike New Zealand’s neighbour, Australia, there are no animals out to kill you”.

“I’d play at Cypress Point, California, which ranks first in the world’s Top 100 golf courses. Nothing less!
It’s located at the tip of the Monterey Peninsula: just looking at the photos is breathtaking! Unfortunately, only a lucky few will get to play it. I’d like to be one of those lucky ones!”

“If I could play one round of golf anywhere in the world, it would be the old course at St Andrews in Scotland. It is known as the home of golf. A place where golf has been played for 600+ years. It would be amazing to walk those fairways, play golf and walk over that iconic stone bridge as so many golfers have done for hundreds of years”.

“I started by thinking of any course in British Columbia, then I thought Ireland, and then the iconic Pebble Beach where I have been in person. I settled on Augusta Georgia, home of the Masters. I have walked much of the course twice and watch it on TV yearly. I’d really enjoy playing it.”

“ If I could golf anywhere, I would golf at the private club Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club, located to the southwest of Calgary. I was a volunteer there twice with the Canadian Women’s Open tournament, so I have walked the course, admired the many changes in elevation, but did not have an opportunity to play the course in the past.”

“It would be Pebble Beach. I’m a high handicapper so some famous courses are intimidating, but I think I could enjoy playing at Pebble Beach. If nothing else, the spectacular coastal views would make it memorable. It would be fun to play a course that has hosted both the U.S. Open and the U.S. Women’s Open.”

“Torrey Pines along the coast of southern California would be my choice. I used to travel frequently to California for business and later for annual winter getaways, and have visited the course but never played. The idea of hearing the waves while golfing really appeals to me!”

“I would love to play Cabot Links and/or Cabot Cliffs at the Cabot Resort in Inverness, Cape Breton. Then head down Highway 19 to Glenora Distillery for some whiskey tasting.”

“The lush scenic landscape of Ireland lures me to play a game or two. I would pick Lahinch in County Clare along the Atlantic and near the Cliffs of Moher. Having spent two weeks last fall touring Ireland without my clubs I promised myself that I would return with clubs. A day of golf followed by an evening of pub life – life is good. Cheers!”

“I’ve always wanted to play the Plantation Course at Kapalua on Maui in Hawaii. There are two reasons: I have always wanted to go to Hawaii – and I have seen the Kapalua golf course on TV and it looks amazing. That is my dream trip.”
